Kids

Bart works with kids a lot and loves it. Bart started working with children as an elementary teacher 18 years ago. He became an artist 15 years ago and now works with young people making art. He has taught over 100 school arts residencies, founded two puppetry arts programs for youth, and created innumerable puppets shows with kids of many shapes, sizes, and life situations. Bart currently keeps busy as Education Director at In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre in South Minneapolis and is trying to manifest a kid of his own.

“I believe one of the most important contributions both artists and educators can make is to help develop a sense of real self-confidence in young people through expression and growth of specific gifts or talents they have to share. I want to foster the birth and growth of these unique gifts through puppetry arts.” -Bart
